I have been a paralegal at Silverman, Decaria &
Kattelman, Chtd. since 1999. Prior to working in family
law, I was a paralegal at an insurance defense firm
in Reno for nine years. I am a member of the Sierra
Nevada Association of Paralegals (SNAP) and the National
Association of Paralegals.
I grew up in San Leandro, California. When I was sixteen
years old, my parents moved to Nevada. I graduated from
Reno High School and from Reno Business College where
I obtained my paralegal associates decree in 1989. |

I obtained my Paralegal Certificate with honors from
the ABA approved paralegal program at the University
of San Diego in 2002. I began my career at a large litigation
firm in the San Diego area before moving home to Reno
in September, 2003. I have been a member of the Sierra
Nevada Association of Paralegals (SNAP) and the National
Association of Legal Assistants since 2003 and serve
as Treasurer for SNAP for 2005-2006. I recently achieved
the nationally recognized Certified Legal Assistant
(CLA) designation.
I was born in Sacramento, California before moving to
Reno when I was very young. I attended Reno High School,
where I became a third generation graduate in 1995.
I attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
While there, I had the incredible opportunity to study
and live abroad in Grenoble, France. It was truly one
of the greatest experiences of my life. I received my
Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Literature
in 1999. |
